Welcoming Eric & Mike to the Big Rock Team

Two familiar faces who grew up right here on these slopes are stepping into new leadership roles to help carry our mountain forward. Their passion for skiing, our community, and the next generation of riders makes them the perfect fit to guide Big Rock into the future.

Eric Larrabee – Mountain Operations Supervisor

Eric has taken on the responsibility of leading our mountain operations team. With over a decade of experience in hydraulics and mechanics, he brings a deep technical skillset to the job. But more than that, Eric has a lifelong love of skiing and shares it as a dedicated coach for our youth race team. Whether he’s working behind the scenes on snowmaking and lifts, or standing on the side of a course cheering on his athletes, Eric embodies the spirit of Big Rock—hardworking, passionate, and community-minded.

Mike Chasse – General Manager

Mike has been a part of the Big Rock family for years as a board member, always pushing for growth and sustainability in Aroostook County’s outdoor recreation scene. His leadership has already left a huge mark—most recently helping drive the capital campaign that brought us our brand-new lift and upgraded snowmaking. Now, as General Manager, Mike will bring that same dedication and vision to the daily operations of the mountain, ensuring we stay strong for generations to come.
