What began as the top two priorities in our 2020 SE Group Master Plan: 1. A reliable top-to-bottom lift, and 2. Expanded snowmaking capacity has grown to a community-led $1.2 million fundraising effort that has leveraged over $4 million in federal and state funding.
Two familiar faces who grew up right here on these slopes are stepping into new leadership roles to help carry our mountain forward. Their passion for skiing, our community, and the next generation of riders makes them the perfect fit to guide Big Rock into the future.

About BigRock Mountain
Located in Mars Hill, Maine, BigRock is a nonprofit ski area dedicated to making winter sports accessible to all. Through programs like Ski4Life, BigRock provides affordable, high-quality instruction and fosters a lifelong love of skiing and snowboarding in the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts.
Starting September 1st, BigRock Mountain will be on the WinterKids Downhill 24 Ballot for a chance to receive $5,000 - $10,000.
